Attention: As of 7.1.08 this site is being discontinued. Not only is it time consuming as heck, but it’s also a pain in the ass because as we all know youtube is not-so-good at being reliable enough to keep videos. Seeing as how 90% of the music I was going to upload her anyway are rap songs, its a bit of a pain to keep it going. However, as soon as I can figure out a better way to do this, I will redo this whole region.

Music is special in a very interesting way to me. There are almost no individuals who dislike music. While the type of music is debated and fought over, you would be hard pressed to find a person (much less a culture) which has a distaste for some type of melody. I am not sure what this says about human beings in general or how this appreciation has been nurtured and flourished from our caveman ancestors, but I think it would be irresponsible to not acknowledge its existence. I might go into this with more research later on, but that is neither here nor there. I fear that I may be straying from the point.

Have you ever been doing an activity and all of a sudden you felt this urge to listen to a particular song? Whether this song brings good memories or not is irrelevant, at least at the moment. I have often found myself browsing a playlist that I had made at some point in the past and thought to myself, “what was I thinking, this needs to be changed.” I think that is due in large part to the fact that a person appreciates different music based on their mood.

This domain is going to be dedicated to posting the song and lyrics to not only some of my most commonly played songs, but more importantly to also document how I choose music based on my mood. At first it will only start with music I play when I am here on my website, but it may expand in the future.

Edit: I think that instead of lyrics I will simply include the music video. I will, however, keep the music so it can be listened to even when navigating to a different page. I have gotten lazy and instead of uploading my own music have simply linked to music that other people uploaded. This means I am not notified when their music is removed so please, report all broken links in the comments section and I will fix it.

For a pretty good compilation of lyrics for all your song needs I personally use www.letssingit.com, while I will link to it, I am in no way affiliated.

Also I will include the song in each post as a link. Now if you click the link it will navigate you from this site so you won’t be able to both listen to the music and continue to browse. However if you’re feeling savvy (or somewhat computer literate) you can just right click the link and choose to open it in a new window (or tab). Then you just click play, return to my, or any other site, and have the music playing in the background.

Also, some of you may have noticed that weird lines appear when you’re scrolling the lyrics. I think these are caused by me doing unapproved things with the website that is hosting my music. Working diligently on a cure, but till then my apologies.
